Welcome to Crystal Luster, Bethel’s New Youth and Family Coordinator!​

With joy and excitement, we welcome Crystal Luster as our new Youth & family coordinator. Crystal, her husband, Tim, and two boys, have been actively attending Bethel since spring 2023. 

Crystal comes to us with fantastic experiences, including developing curriculum and working with kids as an assistant and lead teacher at Heart Song Living Arts, a Waldorf-inspired school in Husum. She is also an Imagination Yoga  teacher! Whether or not you have kids at Bethel, be sure to welcome her to this vital new role in our community.

In addition to regular Sunday gatherings exploring faith and spirituality, we also enthusiastically welcome children in worship and include an activity table so that they are welcomed into worship in a way that meets their needs. 

We are currently reimagining how best to include and serve our older youth (15+). Times have changed, and youth at Bethel are looking for something different than your typical church youth group. Crystal and Pastor Andy are in conversation with our older youth and their parents to discover how best to help them cultivate spiritual curiosity, faith, and meaningful community.

As any parent of a teenager knows, the pressures on our teens today is huge and their available time is small. How we gather matters and it needs to be in ways that speak directly to their concerns and needs.
