Welcome We’re glad you have found your way to us! If you’re looking for a church to call home, we’re a church where you can come just as you are. We’re a church that loves spiritual exploration and adventure, and values living out our faith in making our community more welcoming, just, and connected. When you’re at Bethel, you don’t need to believe one specific, one-size-fits all faith to belong—we love being on our own spiritual journeys together. We’re grounded in the Christian tradition, but we are passionate about drawing on many sources of wisdom that inform how we live our lives today. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. Our worship and life together as a church is full of laughter as well as tears. At our core, we believe that faith community offers something vital for our lives and for our wider communities. We are fully inclusive, including in leadership, of all genders and gender identities. We look forward to meeting you! Grants for Youth Making a Difference Do you have an idea to improve our Columbia Gorge community? If you are 21 or younger, you may qualify for a $1,500 grant from Bethel Church in White Salmon. Priority will be given to projects that address Earth care, climate, health, LGBTQ+ support, or other justice-related issues. Grants include up to $1,000 for project expenses and materials, plus a $500 stipend for the grantee's leadership and coordination work. Selected applicants will be supported by an adult mentor — a teacher, community member, or Bethel Church member — and will be asked to provide periodic updates and a final report. Applications are due May 15, 2026. Winners will be announced in mid-June, and projects must be completed by June 2027. How to apply: Here is a link to the application This grant is sponsored by the Bethel Church Just Peace Committee. |

At Bethel, we strive to be more than your typical church. When you give to Bethel, yes, you support the administration to run and keep the building in good working condition. But our desire is to be more than a place of worship on Sunday mornings; we want to broaden our partnerships with our local Gorge community -- Collaborators for the Common Good.
This is why we support Gorge MakerSpace, providing the building and grounds they use. It's also why we partner in the community to actively support WAGAP, both the WAGAP and Fish Food Banks, Columbia Gorge Peace Village, River People's Propane Bank, and other vital networks in Klickitat, Skamania, Hood River, and beyond. By giving generously to Bethel, you make all of this possible. Thank You! |
